Code of Conduct 

The code of conduct is expected to be understood and adhered to by all club members, registered players, officials, employees and visitors.   It reflects the highest standards of public behaviour and the expectations of the club Management Committee and  all those associated with the club.
Everyone is expected to conduct themselves in the best interests of the club and members at all times.

The code of conduct is not designed to suppress enjoyment, passion or commitment for our club, but rather, is designed to ensure that club participants understand that there is a line which divides enjoyment, passion and offensive behaviour.  
In particular, the following behaviors are not tolerated.  and we ask everyone, members and visitors, to be mindful of their personal conduct in the club, before, during and after games, at training and social events. 

Violent and/or aggressive conduct 
There is no place for violence in our club. Abuse of another member or visitor to our club either verbally or physically is not tolerated. 
 
Foul and abusive language 
The club does not tolerate foul language, nor does it condone abusive language directed towards another member or visitor to our club

Racial Vilification 
The club does not tolerate any comments that are of a racial nature, directed towards another member or visitor to our club.

Sexual Vilification 
We will not tolerate any gender based vilification. We are a family friendly club and encourage members to bring along their families and friends. Sexual slurs or innuendo are not part of our culture and will not be tolerated. 

Sensible Alcohol Management and Consumption 
Christies Beach Bowling Club has a duty of care for all people who attend games and functions and may be liable where damage or injury is associated with alcohol misuse.  As such we are committed to ensuring a healthy environment for all members  and all activities that occur at our club. 
Members who are intoxicated will not be permitted to enter the premises of the Club. Intoxicated members will be asked to leave the premises (after appropriate safe transport options offered). 
Members are not permitted to bring alcohol onto the premises during games or functions. Failure to comply will see the individuals being asked to leave the premises.

Breaches and Non Compliance 
Any non compliance or breach of the code of conduct will be referred to the Management Committee for consideration and further action.  
This may include;

·       Verbal and/or written warnings
·        Short or long term suspension of membership
·        A club ban set for a period of time (2 to 5 years)
·        Life Ban


A member may appeal to the Management Committee in writing within 14 days after a penalty has been imposed.
Management Committee has this responsibility as outlined in the club constitution
